Samantha Winship

Samantha is a Native of North Carolina  she is a pivotal force in Beekeeping, Farming, Socioeconomic Development, Marketing, Networking,  Entrepreneurship and Community Advocacy.  She is passionate about developing innovative ways to provide high quality foods more accessible to people in need throughout our community.

Ashley Jobe

Studying farms and food systems throughout North Carolina, marketer, designer, and advocate discovered her hometown held staggering numbers of food deserts, food insecurity, and health disparities. This inspired Ashley to take her systems thinking and creative approaches in business and marketing to a new level with Middle of the Root.

Before turning over MOR, to Samantha Winship, Ashley spent five years dedicated to setting the foundation for MOR, creating programs and partnerships for no-cost cooking classes, building a curriculum to teach women and children healthy cooking skills, and hosting engaging fundraisers and events to support local farmers in hopes of a better future for our people, our farmers and inevitably, our world.

Ashley believes if we are thoughtful with our solutions we can inspire others and evolve as a society.

Ashley currently resides in Winston-Salem, NC where she's nurturing her next project, a medicinal garden, to continue serving and healing our local community.
